Jing (Jim) Cao - Vice-President of Operations

Jim Cao, Xponent's Vice President of Operations, joined the company in September of 2006. Prior to joining Xponent, Jim was Vice President of Manufacturing and Technology at Vitesse Semiconductor where he managed the wafer foundry operation, assembly operation, production control group, design technology group, and purchasing department. Jim supported company-wide new product development, outsourcing manufacturing strategy, and achievement of on-time delivery and quarterly revenue targets, as well as cost reduction goals. Before assuming the position of VP, Cao served as the Director of Assembly Operations where he was responsible for the entire assembly operations of Vitesse.

Prior to Vitesse, Jim held various engineering and management positions at Motorola and ON Semiconductor including spending three years in China managing the high volume IC manufacturing operation of Motorola's first JV factory in China.

Jim has over 15 years of engineering and semiconductor manufacturing operation experience with increasing responsibilities. He holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University and a Master of Engineering in Industrial Engineering from Arizona State University.
